Rose's Obituary
Rose Marie Woodrum, 94, of Princeton, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025, at Lewis Gale Hospital–Montgomery.
Born on March 11, 1931, in Ansted, West Virginia, Rose lived a long and faithful life marked by devotion to her Savior, her family, and her church. She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and served the Lord for many years at Maranatha Baptist Church, where she was known for her steadfast faith, kindness, and love for others.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Woodrum; her parents, Luther and Esther Pennington; and her siblings.
She is survived by her three sons: JR (the late Sharon) Woodrum, Dennis (Mary) Woodrum, and Scott (Teresa) Woodrum; her nine grandchildren: Kelly Woodrum, Leah (Jarrettee) Hesse, Jacob (Allie) Woodrum, Joseph (Alyssa) Woodrum, David Woodrum, Matthew (Rachel) Woodrum, Amanda (Ben) Knouff, Patrick (Allison Lowe) Woodrum, and Preston (Grayce) Woodrum; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Giovanni, Eleanora Rose, Tekoah, Nicholi, Ryella, Alayna, Dustin, Clay, Jaxon, Kaiden, Grayson, Ezra, and Harvey, all of whom she loved deeply and cherished greatly.
Rose’s life was a testimony of faith, humility, and unwavering love for her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to the Lord, and the legacy of faith she leaves behind.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 22nd, from 11:30am - 12:30pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Princeton, WV. A short graveside service will follow (1:30-2:00pm) at High Lawn Memorial Park - 1435 E Main St, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
