Ronald E. Bodner of Columbia, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center at the age of 89. A graveside service will be held in Oak Hill, WV, at High Lawn Memorial Park on April 16th, 2026, at 11 AM. Ronald Bodner was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia area to John and Isabelle Bodnar. As a young adult, Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Ronald then enrolled at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After college, he began working at IBM, where he had a distinguished career with several named patents in the field of computer systems architecture. Afterwards, Ron became a successful Wendy’s franchisee with locations in Georgia and Alabama. Outside of work, Ronnie was a golfer, political-junky, and avid fan of science fiction television, think … Fringe, Star Trek, and Stargate. He is survived by his daughters, Hazel Bodner (Christopher) of Nashville, TN and Rachel Bodner of Sharpsburg, GA; brother, J. Michael Bodnar (Ann) of Franklin, TN; sister, Judith Bodnar (Terry) of Denver, CO; a sister-in-law, Maria Bodnar; and grandchildren, Cole Bodner, Joshua Berger (Marley), Abigail Berger, Samuel Berger, and Olivia Bodner.
