Maggie Belle Skidmore-Dixon, 87, of Oak Hill passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

Born January 14, 1939 in Mill Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Elihu and Truman Elkins.

Maggie was a active 25 year loyal and faithful member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene where she was a "Goldeneer" at the church, Was a avid donor to the Red Cross giving 10 Gallons of blood total, an avid quilter and seamstress, an avid gardener as she loved working in her flower bed, family meant the world to Maggie as she loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Maggie never met a stranger and could talk to everyone, her church family was very important to her as well as she loved and cherished them as well, she loved cooking for her family and friends and also you could find her in the kitchen at the church cooking for her church family too! She had a contagious smile and laugh that could brighten up the room. She will be deeply missed.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving 1st husband Donald F. Skidmore; 2nd husband Charles E. Dixon; brothers, John Kincaid, Leon Phillips, Cecil Phillips, Lenz Phillips, and Troy Phillips; sisters, Ruth Vance, Susie Canterbury, Clora Mae Phillips, and Truman Phillips; daughter-in-law, Lisa Skidmore; and son-in-law, Mark Lokant.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her 3 loving children, Jennifer Skidmore Lokant, Stephen Francis Skidmore, and Jeffrey Alan Skidmore; 5 grandchildren, Heather Anne Lokant, Christopher Mark Lokant, Tyler Jeffrey Francis Skidmore, Stephen Tanner Skidmore, and Sidney Tamryn Skidmore; 9 great grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, Jacob, Caleb, Julieanne, Madelynne, Charlotte, Timmy and Hayden; 2 brothers, Robert Phillips and Elihu Kincaid; special cousin, Arvella Phillips; and loving friend, Patty Radford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene 3221 Main Street E. Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Pastor Benjamin Bleigh and Pastor Larry Lain officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the church in Oak Hill.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

A special thank you to her caregivers during her brief illness who were all family members, Chris Lokant, Tammy Skidmore, Tyler Skidmore, Emma Skidmore, and Summer Lafferty. Also a special thanks to Dr. Ryan Newell and Hospice nurse Beth Roop for all the care and compassion they showed during this time
