Newton Square

Lori Rae Snelling, age 67, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2026.

Lori was born on May 10, 1959 in Newtown Square, PA. She was predeceased by her mother, Rose Marie Camiglia, her stepfather, Pete Caniglia and her father, Louis Raymond Snelling, III. She graduated Conestoga High School in 1976. She then attended Elizabethtown College where she graduated and entered the work force as a med tech. Her great love of animals caused her to rethink her career and she went back to school to become a veterinary technician.

Lori met her husband, Eric L. Warden when both were medical technicians at the same Largo hospital in Florida. At that time they lived in Pinellas County along with nine dogs, turtles, turkey, peacocks, parrots and a 3 legged goat. They married on March 26, 1994 at War Veterans Memorial Park, Bay Pines where all nine dogs were in attendance as ushers and bridesmaids. Her wedding was so unusual it made the local news.

During her married life with Eric, Lori traveled from Florida to West Virginia where she worked their farm; to North Carolina where she learned to sail on their lake; and finally to St. Croix where she loved the island life with Eric and also ran an Airbnb.

Lori was adventurous and outgoing. She traveled the world with friends over the last several years. She really took chances and lived her life fully. Her final adventure before being diagnosed with cancer was a trip to Germany. Cancer really beat her down but she kept getting back up and continued her fight. Sadly, cancer won.

In addition to her beloved husband of 32 years, Eric, Lori is survived by her eight sisters and brothers, Lou Snelling, Susan Gorden, Linda Knoll, Sherry Gallucci, Raymond Snelling, Mary Bauer, Lisa Newton and Michelle Caniglia and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with her sister-in-law Nancy Singleton.

Interment will be private in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, West Virginia. The family of Lori Rae Snelling is in the care of highlawnfuneralhome.com
