Lloyd Stanley Smith Sr., 73, of Fayetteville, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Raleigh General Hospital, following a short illness. Lloyd was a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family dearly. He was a true family man. He always had a smile that could light up a room, and he had the ability to keep people happy, no matter the circumstances. Lloyd dedicated his life to raising his great-grandchildren, Mason McCutcheon and Khloee Tomblin, and he wouldn’t have changed that for the world. Lloyd will be dearly missed and forever loved. Lloyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife 44 years, Bessie; a sister, Bonnie Smith; a daughter, Rebecca Tomblin; and a granddaughter, Julie Marie Tomblin. Left to cherish his memory, his great-grandchildren, Khloee Tomblin and Mason McCutcheon; a grandson, Billy Tomblin; a daughter, Janice Howard; a son, Stanley Smith; and countless extended family and friends. Funeral services for Lloyd will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of High Lawn Funeral Chapel, 1435 E. Main St. Oak Hill, WV. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
