Kay Karen (Smith) Persinger, 77, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2025, at the Bowers Hospice House. Kay was born on September 20, 1948, the daughter of the late Carlos and Lena Smith. Kay was a secretary at the Division of Rehabilitation. Kay was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed camping and vacationing, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her loving family. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Lena Smith. Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 60 years, James Persinger; her children, James Persinger II (Sandra), Eric Persinger, Lisa Hogan (Jim), Teresa Hendrick (Chris), and an adopted son, Ryan Persinger; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2025, at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Lain of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene officiating.
