Janice Lynn Comer (Adkins) Obituary

Janice Lynn Comer, 85, of Fayetteville, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home. Janice was born on May 29, 1940, in Logan, West Virginia, to parents, the late Lawrence and Sybil Adkins. Janice was a retired cook for the Fayette County Board of Education. She was also a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Comer Sr.; and a brother, Kenneth Adkins. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tammy (Jeff) Stafford, Sam (Jean) Comer, Scott (Tara) Comer, and Alan (Natalia) Comer; a sister, Loberta (Danny) Jude; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2026, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
