Janet Ann Stiles

Janet Ann (Lilly) Stiles, born December 9, 1934, in Page, WV, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2025.She was predeceased by her parents, Owen Earl Lilly and Mildred Anna Greer; her brother, Lacy Wriston Lilly; and three husbands, James Allen Cobb, Edward Earnest Mason, and Harold E. Stiles. In her 90 years, she was a homemaker, mother, and Nana; a majorette, model, salesperson, and small business owner; and a life-long member of the Nazarene Church. She raised two daughters in Hollywood and Miami in the 1960’s and 70’s, then moved to Sarasota in the 1980’s where she owned rental properties, volunteered, and opened two Hallmark stores, finally realizing a lifelong dream to own a card and gift shop. She is survived by daughters Debbie Mann and Cathy Edwins; grandchildren Michael Lapicola, Aimee Stevens, Zachariah Mann, Laura Edwins, and Claire Edwins; and great-grandchildren Trenton Hardy, Joshua Lapicola, Justin Lapicola, AJ Lapicola, Reagan Lapicola, and Audrey O’Neill. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Tallywood Condominium Clubhouse, 1239 Tallywood Dr., Sarasota. A memorial service in Oak Hill, West Virginia will be held in May. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
