Evalena Harrah

Evelena Harrah, 86, of Oak Hill, West Virginia passed away, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House. Evelena was born on July 6, 1938, in Sewell, West Virginia to the late Ira and Vadie Spencer Nutter.

Evelena was a homemaker.

She was a member of Day Star Worship Center in Kilsyth, West Virginia. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Russell Harrah; a second husband, Richard Harrah; brothers, Robert, Roy, Dewey, and Harold (Bubby) Nutter; sisters, Bertha Cook, and Mary Ann and Ruby Nutter; sons, George, Harold, and Bobby Harrah; and a daughter, Anna Morton.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Becky Harrah, Donna Harrah-Hunley, and Terri Harrah; sons, Russell Harrah Jr., Billy (Patricia) Harrah, and David Harrah; grandchildren, Robert (Bo) Harrah II, Nick and Valerie Harrah, Shelia Fitzwater, George Harrah Jr., Chassity Honaker, Channie Randolph, Ariyah, Syrianeh and Jaquese Harrah, Rusty and Toni Morton, David Preston, Lyndsay Milam, Amy Bush, Kendra Berkhouse, Holly, Craig, and Adam Flowers, Rob, Zach, and Bethany Hunley; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, April 28, 2025, at High Lawn Funeral Home with David Bush and Larry Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends may call on the family 1 hour prior to the service at High Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Pallbearers will be David Harrah, George Harrah Jr., Elijah Fitzwater, James Fitzwater, J.J. Honaker, Austin Randolph, Josh Morton, Darrin Taylor, and Rob Hunley.
