Elmer Ray Terry

Ray Terry, 91, of Oak Hill passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Born November 1, 1934, in Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late Woodrow Walker Terry and Myrtle Roles Terry.

Ray was a retired truck driving delivering merchandise to different states, and in his leisure, he enjoyed cutting grass, playing cards, he loved being outside siting on the deck, and he especially loved spending time with his family.

Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife of 41 years Jane Webb Terry; daughters, Cindy Terry and Debra Day; 2 grandchild, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel 999 Jones Avenue Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Pastor Charlie Webb officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
